The effect it has closes some of the gap between the "you" you are internally, and the "you" you choose to show to those of us here.
In some cases, for some people, that gap is small. So losing that layer of distance doesn't change much -- like looking into the bottom of a shallow puddle. Most of the time, you could consider me on that side of the spectrum.
For other people, that gap is large -- a pool so deep you rarely see what moves beneath the surface. Cashmere is one such case.
I don't know you well enough to predict where you will fall. For the record, I don't find either extreme particularly negative -- it's just an aspect of who you are.
