The real ritual to the Legend is not what you might expect. It's known to relieve those who feel as if the spotlight is too much.
They're tired. They don't want to be seen anymore. They want to start a new life. They should love the life that they've been given but they can't anymore. And so they beg their legend to drown them until they feel nothing. And then they can start to feel again. And so often, many of these folks are buried alive.
However. The true siren's ritual is different.
You feel a terrible high piercing shriek, resonating through your body. It only has a moment's piece when the piercing noise becomes loud demolition noise and it swaps over to the sound of your ears being beaten and then the sound of an ambulance. Every horrifically loud sound just channels through your body, you feel as if your ears are bleeding even if they aren't.
