Character: Nicholas D. Wolfwood / Lea D. Gunmetal Family: The Forge
A Place of Significance: An orphanage in the middle of a desert, surrounded by a rickety old wooden gate and without any outdoor shade to protect it from the two suns high in the cloudless sky. It's a worn-down, U-shaped building that looks like an old school house and a church were molded into one. The exterior is cracked and crumbling in some places, but not completely ready to fall apart. At the center of the building is a tall bell tower that has a crucifix affixed to the roof. There are tall, rectangular windows looking into every room in the building: the big bedroom full of child-sized beds, the cluttered kitchen, the run-down storage room, the tidy office, the neat clinic.
Meaning => Nicholas D. Wolfwood was raised here, and also died here. While it isn't the entirety of his life, it does hold both his beginning and his end. Though the locations don't look the same, since Lea was also raised in an orphanage, it evokes a strong sense of nostalgia within him. It's a shared connection between Wolfwood and Lea.
2 Items of Significance 1. A small vial, not unlike a corked test tube, filled with liquid. Meaning => A special item for rapid healing, but one which comes at a cost. It's a liquid that helps to speed up regeneration--just so long as it isn't overused, it can be a great asset in staying alive. However, Wolfwood does drink too much of it, and it ultimately causes his death. (It also looks quite similar to the potions that Lea can make with his Blessing--which can also offer life or death, depending on which one you drink.)
2. An unassuming pistol. It looks much like any other gun might, but with a few nicks and scratches on it. The backstrap of the gun is worn down just enough that it fits perfectly in Lea's hand. Meaning => It's a weapon one can use to take a life, something Wolfwood did often. Not often is it used to save a life, but that is also a meaning that one could ascribe to it--especially for Lea, the guy that's literally a cop who tracks down serial killers.
2 People of Significance 1. Livio Meaning => Livio is in the photo Lea received when they first arrived on the boat, an indication of important people that they would eventually remember. He is Wolfwood's little brother figure from the orphanage, who also ends up joining a shady cult organization and going down the path of a killer. He's very important to Wolfwood--he's the reason why Wolfwood dies, giving his life to try and save Livio instead of killing him. He also means something to Lea, albeit in a more abstract way: Livio is a life that Wolfwood saved, and all of the emotions tied up in that make Lea feel more connected to Wolfwood. For him, Livio is proof that Lea and Wolfwood are one and the same.
2. Millions of Knives Meaning => It's Vash's terrifying shitty brother who represents otherworldly power and doom idk what else to tell you.
3 Items of Significance These can be any size! 1. The Punisher Meaning => It's a really big gun that's like bigger and heavier than a person. It's shaped like a cross and has a skull motif in the center which is also where you hold the gun to fire it.
2. A very unassuming detective's badge that has Lea's name on it Meaning => It's a part of himself that he doesn't really remember and also that he hid from all of his loved ones. It's something that represents his desire to do good, but also something that has hurt the people around him. Hashtag its complicated.
3. Nicholas D. Wolfwood's grave Meaning => It's kind of on the tin; it represents dying! Death in all of its finality.
Five Emotions You Want Your Character to Experience The more specific the better. Like "Fear of being lonely" is mid but "Fear of an empty house, everyone they know is dead except their parents who once supported them now turning their back on them because they're the Anti-Messiah." is better. 1. I think it's neat for Lea to compare & contrast himself against Wolfwood so like "the comfort or discomfort of finding himself similar to the person in his visions" is an emotion, right 2. A fear of inevitably dying suddenly and painfully and leaving the people he cares behind to deal with the consequences of his actions 3. 4. 5.
5 Anything Elses This is basically anything else you wanna include. A pet. Another location. A memory. Another item. A feeling, a dream, a specific scenario. A sin, a regret, an event. Once again, detail/significance/etc is useful! ***Don't feel like you have to use everything listed here or even use any of it
