You find yourselves in a surprisingly sterile room. It's entirely white, almost blindingly so. There are a few beanbag chairs to sit on, though perhaps not enough for your entire family. On one of the walls, there's a laminated poster of a wheel. At the center of the room is a table with a glass case on top. If you lift the case, you'll find a single red button. Behind a glass panel on the wall is a monitor that is currently off.

Curiously, it does not seem as though you can actually destroy anything in this room (save for a simple note by the button), regardless of how much you may try. The glass will never shatter. The poster cannot be torn into pieces. Furthermore, your blessings and powers are off and none of your personal belongings are actually on your person.

A simple note lays by the button on the table, a reminder of your directive: Will you push the button?

[ sounds somewhat unsure. Honestly. ]

[His attention focuses, and he reaches for her hands.]

You remember me. Do you remember yourself?

[ startles, staring at him. ]

-- Yes? Yes. I think so.

[His hands are warm and dry, and the sudden tension in him visibly relaxes at her answer.]

Good. I'm glad to hear it.

[ hers are damp and a bit clammy. But she just stares at him a moment longer, then at the rest of the sun signs. ]

Does the... boat care about paperwork...?

I imagine it depends on the kind of paperwork, but I have it on good authority that the Showmaster is not ignorant of such things, and will work within those systems rather than against them.

[His head tilts, gaze both sharper and softer.]

Did you recently fill out some kind of application relevant to your presence here?

I... I did say-- I'd see who'd be willing to accept me. And The Sun Sign was open to accepting a new member, more than the others. So...

[ she looks embarrassed now, more than anything, and moves one hand to make a bit of a sweeping, uneasy gesture. ]

... I'm sorry, if it's inconvenient for everyone. I'll do what I can to stay out of everyone's way.

[His fingers brush the edge of her jaw, before dropping lower... looping over her neckline as he leans close, pulling the fabric clear.

His hair brushes her cheek, his breath warm on her neck the moment before his teeth find her skin, sinking briefly firm into the tendons between neck and shoulder, into the delightfully unfamiliar pattern of muscles below her wing. It's not firm enough to break skin, but it's firm enough to feel, and with the sharp edges of his fangs it's certainly a near thing.

Letting go, he speaks before he pulls back, voice low beside her ear.]

[ there is, unfortunately, a filthy noise she audibly bites back, teeth clicking, her hands flying up to fist themselves in his shirt.

Her wings poof up-- the one above where his teeth pressed in gives an awkward little flutter-- and she swallows thickly and DOES NOT make eye contact with Brocade especially, her whole face neck shoulder area gone heated and red and her pulse racing.
