Story Game Prep

Hello all! From June 12th to Jun 19th, there will be a pseudo-explora game that is all about your characters' psyche.

This is an INFO-GATHERING post, so you can tell me things so I can put them in the game! Below I'll have some examples of what I'm looking for. The game is not inherently trauma but basically whatever people put down I'll integrate into the setting.

Sign-up post is HERE -- here's some details!

=> You can sign up for TWO sessions max but one team and one mixed.
=> Each mixed session can have up to FIVE people in it, and needs a minimum of TWO to happen.
=> Team sessions have NO limit to number of people, but there can only be ONE session per team. (For example, Theseus could sign up for Session A with some friends and then Session O with the rest of his team. Or he could sign up for just A or O.)
=> I have a fairly open schedule so I can probably make some weird times work for your teams if needed.
=> The session times listed on the sign-up sheet are mostly for organization but if you (and your group) needs a different time I can probably make it work! Ping or DM me on discord!

INFO-GATHERING
This can be in their Limelight AU OR their true canon, it is what YOU as the player want to interact with.

You DO NOT have to fill it out to play.

You DO NOT have to fill out every section/fill out every section fully!

Character please list their TRUE NAME and their nom de plume
Family

A Place of Significance this should be a location that someone can experience. A subway car. A meadow with a fairy circle made out of death angel mushrooms. A classroom. Etc. Include as much detail as needed for it to be recognizable to the characters. For example, "A normal classroom" is probably not enough detail. But even something like "A 6th grade geography classroom with a row of jackets hanging on the wall. Each jacket is high quality, except one that has several patches sewn into it. There's rows of desks, a teacher's desk at the front and a large hanging map." is adequate.

Meaning => Please also describe the significance of the location.

2 Items of Significance these should be small enough to be HELD and with defining features easily recognizable to the characters. Something like "A well-worn coin with the face of a mermaid on one side, and on the other, a hatless man."
1.
Meaning => Please also describe the significance of the item.

2.

Five Emotions You Want Your Character to Experience The more specific the better. Like "Fear of being lonely" is mid but "Fear of an empty house, everyone they know is dead except their parents who once supported them now turning their back on them because they're the Anti-Messiah." is better.

5 Anything Elses This is basically anything else you wanna include. A pet. Another location. A memory. Another item. A feeling, a dream, a specific scenario. A sin, a regret, an event. Once again, detail/significance/etc is useful!

ahahadotwav: up there with the ultra rich, then one day you will look through a pair of opera binoculars and get rings of gold paint around your eyes and those riches will be laughing, that's when you'll wish you were back down here in the gutter with me. (Default)

Goldi (umineko spoilers)

Character Beatrice/Goldilocks
Family Cirrus

A Place of Significance A grand and opulent study, large enough that it could be considered a small house - aside from the furnishings you might expect in a study, it has a large and comfortable bed, a small kitchen nook with a fridge, and a door leading to a bathroom to the side. The walls are lined with shelves of books in a number of languages as well as various mysterious objects, all related to black magic and the occult. On one wall is a portrait of a woman identical to Goldi. The whole room is suffused with a strange, sweet and stuffy smell that is somewhat nauseating and makes the place uncomfortable to be in.

Meaning => This is Kinzo's study, the place where he dedicated his life to reviving his beloved. This is where Beatrice learned that Kinzo was actually her father - that her whole life had been a lie, and that the circumstances of her birth were deeply cursed. This is where Kinzo's death was concealed afterwards by pretending that he refused to ever come out. For Beatrice, it's a place of power where she rules as the absolute master, but at the same time it's a symbol of how little power and control she has ever truly had.

2 Items of Significance
1. A golden signet ring bearing a one-winged crest
Meaning => The symbol of headship of the Ushiromiya family, granted to Beatrice upon Kinzo's death. Though it is a sign of power, it is one she never wanted. To her, it is a symbol of the family itself - all the hatred, abuse, violence and bitterness that has passed down the generations. And yet, she still chooses to wear it. The weight of all that sin belongs upon her shoulders.

2. The book And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
Meaning => A beloved mystery novel. Not only does it represent Beatrice's love for mysteries in general, this particular book is what first led her to think of mysteries as a game between the author and the reader, and to equate the author to a witch.

2 People of Significance
1. Ushiromiya Kinzo
Meaning => The head of the Ushiromiya family. Beatrice's father (and grandfather). An abusive, selfish, cruel man that brought about so much suffering that he could never be forgiven. And yet, despite it all, Beatrice cannot help but feel sympathy for him. He was driven mad by love and spent much of his life a broken and pathetic shell of himself. She would kill him over and over again without hesitance, but she cannot fully bring herself to hate him.

2. Ushiromiya Battler
Meaning => Also known as Ayu of Siren's Melodies. Beatrice's true love and husband, her rival and greatest ally. She cares for him deeply, possessively, codependently, but simultaneously harbours a bitterness and resentment for reasons Goldi does not fully remember yet.

3 Items of Significance
1. An elaborate silk dress
Meaning => The dress is a symbol of Beatrice as a fictional figure whose identity this person adopted. It is a sign of the power and prestige of a witch, but also of deception and an abandonment of who she was before.

2. An ingot of extremely pure gold, stamped with the same wing insignia that is on the ring. It weighs roughly ten kilograms.
Meaning => A piece of the pile of gold that Kinzo used to build his wealth and influence, gained through lies and violence and passed on to Beatrice. To her it is a symbol, its monetary value far less significant.

3. A golden yellow ribbon.
Meaning => In Serpentine Horizon, ribbons like these were used to anchor the souls of sacrifices and to mark them as members of their teams. This one is proof of Beatrice's place on Finch, something that is deeply important to her.

Five Emotions You Want Your Character to Experience
1. Guilt. The unbearable knowledge that even her birth itself was a sin and she will continue to cause pain to others every moment she remains alive.
2. Resentment. Grudges against slights both great and small, a simmering anger for not receiving enough support and appreciation, for not being noticed even while suffering.
3. Love. A deep, possessive, desperate kind of emotion. A hunger for affection that feels like it can never be fulfilled.
4. Loneliness. A fear of rejection, a fear of abandonment, and thus a fear of making connections in the first place despite yearning for them. A feeling of belonging nowhere and being unworthy of even hoping to belong.
5. Pride. An awareness of her intelligence and power and a desire to test them against others with confidence that she will surely triumph.

5 Anything Elses This is basically anything else you wanna include. A pet. Another location. A memory. Another item. A feeling, a dream, a specific scenario. A sin, a regret, an event. Once again, detail/significance/etc is useful!
