Story Game Prep

Hello all! From June 12th to Jun 19th, there will be a pseudo-explora game that is all about your characters' psyche.

This is an INFO-GATHERING post, so you can tell me things so I can put them in the game! Below I'll have some examples of what I'm looking for. The game is not inherently trauma but basically whatever people put down I'll integrate into the setting.

Sign-up post is HERE -- here's some details!

=> You can sign up for TWO sessions max but one team and one mixed.
=> Each mixed session can have up to FIVE people in it, and needs a minimum of TWO to happen.
=> Team sessions have NO limit to number of people, but there can only be ONE session per team. (For example, Theseus could sign up for Session A with some friends and then Session O with the rest of his team. Or he could sign up for just A or O.)
=> I have a fairly open schedule so I can probably make some weird times work for your teams if needed.
=> The session times listed on the sign-up sheet are mostly for organization but if you (and your group) needs a different time I can probably make it work! Ping or DM me on discord!

INFO-GATHERING
This can be in their Limelight AU OR their true canon, it is what YOU as the player want to interact with.

You DO NOT have to fill it out to play.

You DO NOT have to fill out every section/fill out every section fully!

Character please list their TRUE NAME and their nom de plume
Family

A Place of Significance this should be a location that someone can experience. A subway car. A meadow with a fairy circle made out of death angel mushrooms. A classroom. Etc. Include as much detail as needed for it to be recognizable to the characters. For example, "A normal classroom" is probably not enough detail. But even something like "A 6th grade geography classroom with a row of jackets hanging on the wall. Each jacket is high quality, except one that has several patches sewn into it. There's rows of desks, a teacher's desk at the front and a large hanging map." is adequate.

Meaning => Please also describe the significance of the location.

2 Items of Significance these should be small enough to be HELD and with defining features easily recognizable to the characters. Something like "A well-worn coin with the face of a mermaid on one side, and on the other, a hatless man."
1.
Meaning => Please also describe the significance of the item.

2.

2 People of Significance

Five Emotions You Want Your Character to Experience The more specific the better. Like "Fear of being lonely" is mid but "Fear of an empty house, everyone they know is dead except their parents who once supported them now turning their back on them because they're the Anti-Messiah." is better.

5 Anything Elses This is basically anything else you wanna include. A pet. Another location. A memory. Another item. A feeling, a dream, a specific scenario. A sin, a regret, an event. Once again, detail/significance/etc is useful!

justonezero: (every time I learn)

Jorunna (WIP but this might be all I got)

[personal profile] justonezero 2025-06-12 07:10 am (UTC)(link)
Character Yoshi Nanase | Jorunna
Family Siren’s Melodies

He doesn’t currently remember most of these things but I think they would be fun to play with so!!

A Place of Significance The lobby of a grand hotel. Attached is a small gift shop full of winter gear, from warm coats to skiing supplies, and upon exiting the double doors guests will find themselves in a winter wonderland of powdery snow. The time, however, is in the middle of the night, so perhaps now would not be such a good time to play around...

Meaning => Jorunna was killed here! He willingly followed his to-be killer out of his room into the lobby, dropped the key to his room between the cushions of one of the lobby chairs, and went into the shop with his killer so they could both pick out winter clothes before leaving the lobby and heading out into the snow. He was then gutted and fed to a magical wolf/barghest puppy.

2 Items of Significance

1. A knife! It turns whatever it cuts into cake. This includes entire buildings.
Meaning => He tried to use this handy item against a different killer at a different time and failed very badly. It turns out, when you try to defend yourself hoping that if you stab your attacker they’ll turn into cake, you may just end up stabbing an entire library instead.

2. Monster Mask - when worn, it makes the wearer appear as a rabbit... dragon... monster thingy.
Meaning => He had to use this mask to disguise himself when in the Underground so he could befriend the various residents of Snowdin.

2 People of Significance
1. Red
Meaning => She was able to understand what he meant when he described the world being made up of numbers, as he is able to see the world as though it were in code and Red is able to manipulate the world through certain codes. She helped to train him in the use of his ability after being summoned to the Foundation, and she was the one who told him to think for himself rather than only following orders. [He does not currently remember her but this is a lesson he should probably learn again.]

2. Mikado
Meaning => Someone Jorunna remembers calling his big brother in a small apartment, only to later remember meeting him again later, this time with an armed squad following closely behind. It turns out he and Jorunna were brought to a world to protect it as “Thaumiels” and Mikado, having been physically burnt out using his powers, was to be neutralized by the squad Jorunna so helpfully right to him. Mysteriously referred to Jorunna as “the younger me.”

Five Emotions You Want Your Character to Experience
1. A ton of love/positive feelings towards Jorunna! Just like, people really liking him and appreciating him being there. Which feeds into...
2. Discomfort because Jorunna actually really dislikes having a bunch of attention on him and would much prefer to be in the background.
3. Distress and helplessness as others are hurt and he is unable to do anything to help, which is coincidentally what one might feel if one were to die and get stuck as a ghost unable to help any of the still living.
