Story Game Prep
Hello all! From June 12th to Jun 19th, there will be a pseudo-explora game that is all about your characters' psyche.
This is an INFO-GATHERING post, so you can tell me things so I can put them in the game! Below I'll have some examples of what I'm looking for. The game is not inherently trauma but basically whatever people put down I'll integrate into the setting.
Sign-up post is HERE -- here's some details!
=> You can sign up for TWO sessions max but one team and one mixed.
=> Each mixed session can have up to FIVE people in it, and needs a minimum of TWO to happen.
=> Team sessions have NO limit to number of people, but there can only be ONE session per team. (For example, Theseus could sign up for Session A with some friends and then Session O with the rest of his team. Or he could sign up for just A or O.)
=> I have a fairly open schedule so I can probably make some weird times work for your teams if needed.
=> The session times listed on the sign-up sheet are mostly for organization but if you (and your group) needs a different time I can probably make it work! Ping or DM me on discord!

This can be in their Limelight AU OR their true canon, it is what YOU as the player want to interact with.
You DO NOT have to fill it out to play.
You DO NOT have to fill out every section/fill out every section fully!
Character please list their TRUE NAME and their nom de plume
Family
A Place of Significance this should be a location that someone can experience. A subway car. A meadow with a fairy circle made out of death angel mushrooms. A classroom. Etc. Include as much detail as needed for it to be recognizable to the characters. For example, "A normal classroom" is probably not enough detail. But even something like "A 6th grade geography classroom with a row of jackets hanging on the wall. Each jacket is high quality, except one that has several patches sewn into it. There's rows of desks, a teacher's desk at the front and a large hanging map." is adequate.
Meaning => Please also describe the significance of the location.
2 Items of Significance these should be small enough to be HELD and with defining features easily recognizable to the characters. Something like "A well-worn coin with the face of a mermaid on one side, and on the other, a hatless man."

Five Emotions You Want Your Character to Experience The more specific the better. Like "Fear of being lonely" is mid but "Fear of an empty house, everyone they know is dead except their parents who once supported them now turning their back on them because they're the Anti-Messiah." is better.

5 Anything Elses This is basically anything else you wanna include. A pet. Another location. A memory. Another item. A feeling, a dream, a specific scenario. A sin, a regret, an event. Once again, detail/significance/etc is useful!

Yue

Family Siren's Melodies
A Place of Significance A long road that homes a bustling street market. The architecture and fashion people are wearing feels like it belongs to an entirely different culture, from a long time ago. There's stalls selling produce, herbs and spices, textiles, and also, if one is to follow the enticing smell, one may find food stalls selling chicken skewers, steamed buns, and all sorts of street food.
Meaning => A place he visited while he was undercover, dressed up as "Jinka", a commoner who served Maomao who was passing as his mistress. He loved getting to play the role of a normal guy in a normal place, and enjoying time with Maomao outside of the palace.
2 Items of Significance
1. A silver bowl filled with a sickly sweet liquid
Meaning => The weird tasting medicine Jinshi has to drink every day to maintain his condition as a eunuch
2. A purple and gold fountain pen, looks very expensive
Meaning => A gift from his mother (AU) when he was a child. He learned calligraphy with it, and it represents his mother's wish for him to join the Holy Order.
2 People of Significance
1. The Former Emperor (a beautiful man who bears an eerie resemblance to Yue/Jinshi).
Meaning => Yue doesn't remember his face, but he knows this was Jinshi's father, he was a pawn and puppet to his mother (the Empress Regnant) and also a pedophile. Jinshi feels like he must bear the burden for his sins.
2. Kan Lakan
Meaning => Unfortunately this is Maomao's father who is shady as fuck and who may or may not have assaulted and gotten pregnant an incredibly expensive courtesan in the past (Maomao's mother) to lower her value so he could afford her. That's what Yue thinks, anyway.
3 Items of Significance These can be any size!
1. Small silver spoon wrapped in fancy cloth
Meaning => Used to identify poison in drinks (Jinshi has been victim of poisoning attempts)
2. Designer dress
Meaning => A reminder of Yue (Moonglow)'s career as a femme/nb-presenting model, a representation of a life that felt very simple and which he succeeded at with almost no effort, but that never allowed him to be himself
Five Emotions You Want Your Character to Experience
1. Fear of saying or doing the wrong thing in a way that results in your loved ones being disappointed/angry at you and turning their back on you
2. Lack of control over your own, overwhelming emotions. There's nothing you can do to lower the intensity with which you feel them or make them stop.
3. Counterpoint to 1: Confidence that no matter what you say or do, everything is going to be okay in the end, and people will be there to support you in your choices.
4. Confidence in a more professional sense. You know you're the only person who can make the right choice/you trust your skills and instincts and thus can act on things with certainty.
