Uh, I'm okay and all, but you should know Nettle's super, like super worried about it. Like thinking about literally every worst case scenario worried about it. The last time I saw him like this was, like, talking about how it felt when River's parents showed up. Think you can keep an eye on him? Not just today. I'm trying to help, but it's gonna be better coming from you.
He kinda has a hard time with, like, curveballs about the future. Especially stuff that feels like it could break up him and you and me. You know we're the only people he totally trusts love him, right?
...yeah. Thanks. [ hesitates, then, ] I hope you make sure whoever's got the other ring knows they're gonna have to work hard with him and take care of him right. Love him as much as you and I do, and make sure he knows it.

Honestly? Doesn't change what I said. I got no idea how much he knows Nettle, or what he'd think of being a dad to him or me. What I do know is that Nettle's gonna take it really hard if he feels like he's not wanted, or in the way. And how easy it is to make him feel that way, even by accident. So...yeah. I'm asking you to make sure anyone joining the family knows that too, I guess, and takes it seriously. Nettle talks about how much I should feel loved, but he's gone way too long without it. More than I have.
