Expected outcome of the sacrifice: The main idea is Aster losing the ability to use/summon his Blessing-sword, which is really lowkey a sacrifice of his sense of safety. Demigods need to be able to defend themselves, or they end up dead demigods pretty quickly; Aster's gotten enough memories back that he feels this very keenly. At present, his canon powers regains are fairly small and don't help him feel secure. His reassurance is that he knows how to fight...and, importantly, that he has access to a sword whenever he needs, since he's primarily a swordsman. In reality, he doesn't need this kind of 24/7 paranoia to stay alive in Estoria, and he knows that on a rational level — which is why this has a value of 2 points and not 3. Buuut old habits run deep, and a growing part of him defines his own worth by his ability to fight. Losing access to the weapon he's most comfortable with....is, for him, a pretty considerable sacrifice.

ACTUALLY I REALIZED I CAN MAKE THIS 10X WORSE HELLO.
So he will be losing all of his blessings and magic not just the telepathy but... given Billy and (thus now) Phoenix's soul is made up of chaos magic and is overflowing life energy or w/e this also has the unintended consequence of maybe ??? messing with that.
IDK how exactly my guess is that he gets physically weaker or another option is that the part of him that is "billy" also disappears and just leaves the william/phoenix angles which is also identity crisis worthy -
