If you've done the thing you're supposed to drink. In this case if you've done the thing in Estoria, you did. If it was in your other life, it was kissing. But because there was this thing that triggered if you did something and you didn't know it - like amnesia, or not yet in a vision - it would still... like trigger so you had to do the task.
It's how a bunch of us found out things like our other selves killed people. Pretty sure I won us that performance by asking an insane amount of questions about him then.
